SZCC Lecture Series & Oration

The Project

The Sir Zelman Cowen Centre required comprehensive recordings and event videos for their "Lawyers as Change Makers" lecture series and the 7th Sir Zelman Cowen Centre Oration. The four lectures were:

  1. Federal Attorney-General, the Honourable Mark Dreyfus KC MP reflected on the remarkable life and legacy of Sir Zelman Cowen, and encouraged all lawyers to support the upcoming referendum to enshrine an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice in the Constitution.

  2. The trailblazing career of William Ah Ket as discussed by William Lye OAM KC, a prominent barrister, educator and cultural diversity advocate.

  3. Ike Nwokolo, a senior lawyer and Practice Group Leader in Slater and Gordon’s public liability team, speaking about his pursuit of social justice from an African-Australian perspective.

  4. Craig Foster AM on sport and human rights.

Deliverables

4 x full lecture recordings and transcripts

1 x 7min sports footage video to set the mood at the oration

1 x 60-90sec oration event video

3 x 60sec social clips

The full recordings were made available online and the shorter content was used on social media. Overall, the video content allowed the SZCC to engage the community on important topics and raise awareness of their work.
